For the past 30 years, Philip H. Dyson’s legal career has been focused solely on civil litigation, from the time he interned as a law student conducting trials (with Brad Unkeless, who later became chief trial counsel for Hartford Insurance) to the present. After graduating law school, Mr. Dyson opened up his own law office in San Diego. Since 1983, Mr. Dyson and his associates have been practicing from his current office, located in La Mesa.
Mr. Dyson has represented clients in hundreds of trials and arbitrations to both verdict and judgment, in a wide range of areas. He has represented clients in both State and Federal courts throughout California, as well as courts in various other states. His trial experience includes the prosecution and defense of complex matters including business and commercial torts, personal injury, contractual disputes, real estate, fraud, and intellectual property claims.
Mr. Dyson has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1981, and prior to that was a member of the State Bar of Georgia. He received his law degree from Western State University in 1980 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from San Diego State University in 1977.
In addition to his law related activities, Mr. Dyson has served on the Board of Directors for several community groups to make San Diego a better place, including helping out with the San Diego Homeless Shelter during the Christmas holiday for the last ten years.
Mr. Dyson and his family enjoy traveling and experiencing new adventures together. His other spare time interests are golf, swimming and reading the latest spy thriller.
